Jordan Fine Arts Home
Joseph Jordan is a sculptor, ceramicist, and designer from Boise, Idaho. He was born into a Navy family in San Diego. After his fathers retirement from the military he moved to Idaho and has resided in the Treasure Valley since 1977. His early artistic training concentrated in architecture and spatial design. After 15 years of working in the corporate world and producing realistic wildfowl sculpture part time he returned to school to pursue his love of fine art and refine his personal artistic voice. He is in the final stages of receiving a BFA in sculpture and ceramics from Boise State University. His pre-collegiate artworks were widely recognized in the western United States by several first and second best of shows in regional wildfowl sculpture competitions, most notably the California Open Wildfowl Carving show, and the Pacific Flyway Carving Competition. His academic career has introduced him to the clay arts. Pursuing his joint interest of sculptural form and the art of fire and clay he has found success in many juried student art shows. He has produced sculptural works in wood, ceramic, bronze, and steel. He also designs and produces fine art adornment pieces in copper, silver, found object, and the ephemeral.
