The Cadillac XLR is hard top convertible that was released by Cadillac in 2003 at the Detroit Motor Show, but produced for the public in 2004. The original idea for the car spun off from the concept car known as the Evoq. This car utilizes the Y-body platform that is used on the Chevrolet Corvette and a Northstar engine. Standard features on the vehicle include heated and cooled leather seats, wood trim, keyless entry, 18 in alloys, side airbags, and a navigation DVD system with a 7 inch screen. The retractable hardtop requires over 6 feet of clearance to retract and is made of aluminum.
