War Industries Board
The WIB or War Industries Board came into existence during World War 1. This agency was established in 28th July, 1917 by the government of United States to fulfill the requirements of materials that are necessary for war. This organization persuaded companies that they should increase the manufacturing of the war product as it will help during war. The production was to be done in bulk and products must fulfill the standard. Quotas were setup for production and companies were provided with all the raw materials required. Psychological tests were also conducted by the board to help people getting an appropriate job. Frank A. Scott was the first person to lead this board who was replaced by Daniel Willard in November same year. Then in January, 1918 the leadership of board was given to Bernard M. Baruch.

Causes Of World War 1
Here I am going to write about causes of World War 1. World war is one of the terrible tragedies caused to human race which is witnessed by the entire Earth.The World war began in central Europe in July 1914. There are several factors which triggered this mass killing menace which mainly includes Militarism, alliances, imperialism and nationalism. While it is considered that the chief cause of the war is mainly due to the decisions taken by certain statesman and generals in the July crisis which broke out in the year 1914. While investigating about the causes of its occurrence, what came in picture is that the causes are more complicated than just simply making a list of them. Actually the war became the giant following the basic defense principle of defending the allied country on attack.Probable causes: One of the causes behind this big and long war was considered to be the mutual defense alliances. During that time the countries in Europe entered into mutual defense agreements that ultimately pulled them into the battle field. Thus according to the agreement if one country gets attacked by enemy nations then the allied nations will also engage in war in order to defend it. As a result a simple war between two nations turned into a global war. Imperialism is another factor contributed to the massive image of world war. It is actually a condition in which a country or a nation increases its power and wealth by bringing in several other territories under its control. The desire for greater empire and fame caused an increase in confrontations among the nations which ultimately triggered the fatal world war I. Likewise for example Africa and parts of Asia were always remained the parts of acquiring among several European countries or nations. The growing desire ultimately increased agitation between the nations and ultimately pushed them towards war. Militarism is another contributing factor towards World War I. In the year 1914, countries like Great Britain and Germany increased their arms power enormously. As a result of which it triggered the urge to enter into war against the enemy nations. Nationalism is also an issue which cannot be neglected while discussing the causes. In Bosnia, several Slavic classes of people no longer wanted to remain in Austria Hungry but they rather wanted to be a part of Serbia. In this way this growing nationalism pushed the nation directly into the war front. One of the immediate causes of the World War I was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria Hungry. This assassination led Austria-Hungry to go on war with Serbia. When Russia came to defend it, then Germany declared war with Russia and thus took a great image of World War.
