Community Therapeutic Apheresis is a mobile service that provides services to hospitals, physicians, and patients. These services include plasma exchanges, red cell exchanges, therapeutic removal of white cells, therapeutic removal of platelets, and LDL apheresis. Other hemapheresis procedures can be performed as well.
Therapeutic Apheresis is the removal of a blood component for the purpose of depleting a disease mediator or removing defective cells.
Our focus is only therapeutic apheresis procedures. Our services are comprehensive and inclusive. Our staff is highly trained and are experts in their fields. In-service programs are available for staff, hospital personnel, and blood bankers to learn how to initiate an order for therapeutic apheresis, to identify the necessary supplies from the blood bank and pharmacy, to recognize the disease processes treated by the procedure, to plan nursing responsibilities and medication scheduling for apheresis patients.
Our services treat patients with a range of diseases which include Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (TPP), Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, Multiple Myeloma, Multiple Sclerosis, Myasthenia Gravis, Leukemia's, and many others.
Our team of doctors, practitioners, and nurses are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , to see patients, answer questions or help with any situation that may arise
