Tela Digital - Bem-vindo
In its 18 years of existence, the One Minute Festival has received more than 20,000 videos and films from more than 40 countries. All films have to be up to 60 seconds long. During its long history, the One Minute Festival has received entries from many well-known moviemakers: Fernando Meirelles (City of God, Constant Gardner), Beto Brant (O Invasor), Tata Amaral (Um Céu de Estrelas), Fernando Bonassi (Os Matadores), and many others.
The festival used to receive 1,200 films a year when it did not allow Internet submissions - i.e. the films had to be sent by mail. Now we receive approximately 300 videos a month. The pre-selected films are screened in more than 600 exhibition points in more than 250 cities in Brazil. Over 100,000 people watch the festival's films at these cultural centers every year. In addition, there are also special screenings of the One Minute Festivals at the largest Brazilian universities and there are regional and local One Minute Festivals in many cities and states. The long history of the festival as well as its large viewership among the young and educated, have established the One Minute Festival as one of the leading brands in Brazilian culture.
