The talent of YIORGOS Poniros in the era of jewellery design was revealed quite early. These prime designs found appreciation in the workshop of father Poniros. YIORGOS observed the procedure of production and creation of jewellery acquiring the necessary knowledge which helped tremendously his future path in designing. Therefore, the next step was to complete his studies in gemology in the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Permanent sources of YIORGO’S inspiration constitute the elements of nature and universe as they are presented in the stardust collection, the flower collection or in the olive tree collection, his philosophical look in the human activity which was expressed in the free line collection as well as the reach Greek tradition (12 Gods design, Fidias Collection, Byzantine collection). The collections of the designer YIORGOS have already found a great deal of acceptance in the Greek, American and European markets.
