Born in Marion, Indiana, David grew up as the youngest of six siblings. Early on, his mother Lucille saw the creative side of her youngest child, she saved enough money to buy him a Praktica SLR through the Speigel catalog. David had to learn his new 35mm camera and light composition very quickly because film was expensive, therefore he had to make every picture count. Unlike today, all you have to do is click a button on the camera and you are able to review the photo within seconds. David never pursued a career in photography, but the passion to create and bless others through his God given talent was enough to satisfy his creativity.
David has spent countless hours with professional photographer Mark Atwater of Donalsonville, Georgia. Mr. Atwater has instructed and mentored David for 18+ years and David considers him to be an inspiration. He credits Mr. Atwater’s knowledge of digital photography as the main reason for David to abandon film photography.
David now receives much pleasure taking pictures of the majestic creation of our God. Whether it be of wildlife or a sunset, a newborn wrapped in it's mother's arms or a young couple beginning their life long journey together in marriage, David will capture this favorite time through photography.
Although David is employed as Medical Records Director in Indianapolis, he lives in Greenwood and is always open to new projects during evenings and on weekends. No job is too big or too small. Call David today. You won't regret it.
