Ballet Califia
Ballet Califia is a Sonoma County treasure. Tucked away in the small town of Cotati are two world class dancers, Shelley Scott and David McNaughton. Both have danced for the New York City Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet. They now teach at Ballet Califia. There are classes for all - kids and adults, beginning, advanced and on pointe. They also produce, stage and choreograph ambitious productions, like Swan Lake and Tom Sawyer. And every year they present The Nutcracker at the Spreckels Performing Arts Center in Rohnert Park. You haven't seen The Nutcracker until you've seen Shelley and David's choreography. They bring out the strengths of their community of dancers and interject a fresh and fun atmosphere to the traditional tale of Christmas dreams. This is truly a fun holiday family event.
