Snowflake is the underdog story of a young white woman from the suburbs struggling to make it in the gritty underground hip-hop scene in Boston. Jesse Ashton is a 21 year old college drop out floundering between an indie record store and her mother’s law firm. Coming from a family of means and secrets, the silver spoon in Jesse’s mouth has her silenced. But no more. She has to decide between what her parents expect of her and what she really wants: a chance at the limelight. Jesse’s dream of becoming a rapper is a transformation that her family cannot understand.
