SIXTIES ROCK WEEKEND - CASTELLON
La idea del Sixties Rock Weekend nace por el gusto y la pasión por la música de los años sesenta de un grupo de amigos entre los que nos encontramos Iván y María (Buhos). Con este espacio, queremos ir presentando el festival; The Beatles ,The Who, The Kinks ,Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelín ,Mc-5, Deep Purple ; el soul, el Rock, el Rythm n blues, la psicodelia, los mods, las vespas……fueron años dorados de la música de los cuales nacieron los mejores estilos y canciones de todas las épocas, aun hoy en día los grupos imitan, conocen y escuchan la música de esta década . El 6t..s ROCK WEEKEND pretende retomar en Febrero del 2.009, el buen hacer del festival Owl Weekend que tuvo lugar durante tres años de la década de los noventa en Benicassim y fue iniciativa de alguno de los que hoy presentamos esta interesante propuesta para Castellón. El Owl Weekend fue un festival dedicado a la música de los años sesenta y el movimiento Mod. El festival 6t..s ROCK WEEKEND será fundamentalmente un festival de música con un marcado estilo enraizado en los años sesenta . Tanto la música como la moda de esa década ha sido y es hoy en día un referente que no se extingue con el paso del tiempo. El festival contará con la presencia de grupos actuales pero con raíces añejas para dar un pequeño tributo a todas estas bandas que tanto han influido en la música contemporánea.Tendremos oportunidad de ver también a grupos internacionales. Se creará una zona de Tiendas y stands con puestos de venta de música y merchandissing.También tendrán cabida las exposiciones culturales, de pintura, fotografía de la época, etc…........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ The idea of the Sixties Rock Weekend comes up from the passion of a bunch of friends for the music of the sixties. Some of them, Iván and María (Buhos), want now to launch the festival through this space. The Beatles ,The Who, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, MC5, Deep Purple, as well as soul music, rock, rhythm and blues, psicodelia and the mods, the Vespas…… those were the golden years of the music where the best styles and songs of all decades were created. Even today, the new bands imitate, follow and listen to the music of this period. The Sixties Rock Weekend expect to take up again, in February 2009, the spirit of the Owl Weekend festival which celebrated three editions during the nineties in Benicasim and was organized by some of the people who is involved in the interesting project that we are setting in Castellón. The Owl Weekend was a festival dedicated to the music of the sixties and the mod movement. Also, the Sixties Rock Weekend will be mainly a music festival with an outstanding sixties style. Both the music and the fashion style of this decade were, and still are, a reference which remains through the years. Up to date bands with sixties influences will play at the festival to pay tribute to all those music groups which have been decisive in the contemporary music. This will be an opportunity to see great international music bands. Also, a merchandising zone will be set with records, CDs, fashion and many more, as well as painting and photography exhibitions and other cultural meetings…
