Welcome! In 2006 I began digitizing, restoring, and archiving thousands of photo's taken since I bought my first camera in 1961. Adding thousands more from the collections of my late sister Janet and my mother will keep me busy for years to come. I'm also adding my pictures from the digital age. Eventually, I hope to span my life shared between England and the U.S.A. Snippets of time from my life and those around me. Along the way there will be occasional gaps in the timeline and missing persons—sorry 'bout that! Most of the images from 1961 onwards are from my own cameras, credit is given if not. To add or correct information about any scene please click the photo "add comment" button and leave me a note.

A Note From Victor:
Welcome to the family photo sharing site. The first upload to this site, completed in November 2009, included nearly 4000 images -- some originating in digital format, and many others scanned from old photographic prints. The images on this site are available for viewing, commenting and DOWNLOADING by all family members. The term "family members" is intended to be broad and includes pretty much anyone related, formerly related, or "might as well be related" to Wilbur Altman of Williamsburg County, South Carolina, or Stephen Graves of St. Mary's County, Maryland.
The beauty of this site is that family members are not just viewers, but also contributors. Your help in maintaining and improving the image collection is welcomed and encouraged. We hope you will take a little time to contribute images and to make comments on photos so family viewers can enjoy even more memories. The more family members who contribute to the site, the more interesting and more valuable it will be to the family as a whole. Uploading digital images is easily done through your home computer, or you can send them to me and I will upload them for you. If you have photographic prints and need scanning guidance, feel free to contact me.
A final note: Ours is a large family and there are lots of faces and lots of names. Some are familiar to me and, unfortunately, some are not. So, it should come as no surprise that there are more than a few errors in the photo captions and classifications. Your help identifying and correcting them is appreciated. Temporary corrections can be noted in the comment sections which appear the below each image after it has been selected. If you alert me by email, I can then make permanent corrections through the main website interface.
