VINCENT ROBBINS WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA OF CALIFORNIA. CREATIVE ALL HIS LIFE, HE BEGAN WINNING ART AWARDS AS EARLY AS HIGH SCHOOL WHEN HE WAS AWARDED THE NATIONAL WATERCOLOR SOCIETY AWARD. ALWAYS PROGRESSING HIS EDUCATION AS AN ARTIST, HE EARNED AN ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE IN ART AND A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE IN DESIGN FROM THE ART CENTER COLLEGE OF DESIGN. LATER FURTHERING HIS EDUCATION TOWARDS A MASTERS DEGREE IN PRINTMAKING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SANTA BARBARA. HE WAS FORTUNATE TO WORK IN CALIFORNIA WITH HERBERT ROSENTHAL IN EXHIBITION DESIGN AND IN GRAPHIC DESIGN WITH CHARLES EAMES AND LOUIS DANZIGER. DURING HIS EXPERIENCE IN NEW YORK CITY HE WORKED AT THE RAYMOND LOEWY WILLIAM SNAITH FIRM ON PACKAGE DESIGN FOR SUCH CLIENTS AS NABISCO AND WHEN RETURNING TO CALIFORNIA BECAME HEAD OF GRAPHIC DESIGN FOR THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART. EXHIBITIONS INCLUDED KNOT, AN 8'x32' OIL AND MIXED MEDIA WINNING NUMEROUS AWARDS FOR DESIGN, DRAWING AND PAINTING. CREATING PERFORMANCE PIEC
