Shadi Sayegh was born in Beirut, Lebanon. He received a degree in Interior/Exterior Design from Kaslik University, graduating with honors. During his attendance at the university he was privileged to have tutorship in voice and music from the renowned Maestro Fouad Awad. Under Awads guidance Shadi developed skills with the ancient middle eastern instrument known as the oud. In 1983 Shadi auditioned for Layaly Loubnan and performed one of the greatest hits by Dr. Wadih el Safi, Bethebni, and was awarded the gold medal for best male vocalist on the show. From this day forward his singing career was launched and includes performances all over the world: Lebanon, Syria, Dubai, Abu Dabi, Abidjan, Tunis, Morocco, Australia, Canada and the U.S. Shadis appearances have been supported by the reception of two albums, -Al Ghally and Ahla Lelah - soon to be followed by his latest album Gitanas Nights.
