Rigger Dollies
Many people that load equipment onto rigger dollies believe that putting rigger dollies in every corner, usually four, will create the most stability during transport. This is not necessarily true. If the load is being moved over an uneven surface, the load will sway and become unstable. When this happens the rigger dollies tend to slip from underneath the equipment causing the load to drop and possibly damage the floor or a person. This is why four rigger dollies may not be the best choice, but there is an alternative.

Rigger Tools
Raise, Pull, and Transport equipment. Different types of rigger tools are used to carry out these tasks and are used for equipment weighing upwards of 5 tons. Rigger tools include jacks, dollies, hoist, chains, and rope. Jacks are rigger tools used for lifting. Some also have the ability to push loads, but their main duty is to lift. Low profile jacks are smaller rigger tools and are use to slide under cargo and equipment that is close to the ground. An example of low profile jack is a pancake jack. Another rigger tool that is also a jack is the hydraulic jacks. With these rigger tools, not as much manual labor is done. Hydraulic jacks use oil pressure, and the rigger tools are operated by hand pumps.
