Welcome to LeCrawPhotography.com! My name is Chris LeCraw and I am excited about the opportunity to share my passion for pictures with you. I discovered my love of photography in high school when I “accidentally” took a cool picture while hiking in Colorado. From that moment, I realized I was blessed with an ability to see unique angles, compositions, and moments in places as exotic as Zanzibar and as simple as a country road. I was very rough at first, but thanks to practice and patient teaching from more experienced artists, I have been able to develop my passion for photography and work hard to capture images wherever I am. As any artist knows, there is always more to create, more room for improvement, and more opportunities to share your work as life goes on. I designed this website as a tool to share my pictures with you and, more importantly, give back to the people and places that are truly responsible for whatever quality one may find in these pictures.
I am of the belief that the person taking the picture is really only partly responsible for the resulting image; the photographer is only capturing what has been divinely-inspired and created, whether it’s a beautiful beach in Africa or a magnificent tower in London. I obviously didn’t make those places beautiful; I just did my best to capture it with my camera. Because of this, I want to be a good steward of the opportunities I’ve had to travel to these incredible places and capture them on film. You will find that all of my pictures on this website are available for purchase. It is my pledge that 50% of any profits I accumulate from selling these pictures will be given to organizations in the respective regions where these pictures were taken. For example, profits from pictures of Africa will go to organizations that help build wells to provide clean drinking water to the people of Africa or provide shelter, food, and education for orphans. A full list of designated charities will be available soon so that you can see where your contributions flow.
