Rastafari.org is livicated to providing a central place of reasoning and information as well as to preserve and spread the word and culture of Jah Rastafari.
Rastafari.org is a group of people who believe in togetherness, and in togetherness we are working to achieve high goals for an entire community.
This 501(c) non profit organization's mission is:
To gather, archive, digitize documentation about Rastafari, reggae music and its derivatives (Ska and Dub, etc.), Ethiopia, Jamaica, African-Americans and related nations and cultures that influence the rasta community/culture.
To create a museum, library, online and offline. Give free and public access to the information we find.
To digitize documentation for other institutions, re-investing the proceeds in other non-profit projects.
To help the houses of Rastafari and all its people to get together and be informed about their origins and culture.
To work with Institutions by having information
available for them at anytime, for research and help with publishing and preserving thesis related material.
To promote the knowledge of the culture, arts and music by creating exhibitions and shows and by offering help or guidance to artists on their work and career (as consultant or manager of the artists, from production to the distribution stage.
To promote togetherness and awareness.
To work closely with other institutions that represent Rastafari cultures, people, helping them to achieve their objectives through our activities and abilities.
To educate (I-ducate). To provide technical, artistic, cultural education for our community through interactions with other organizations, by volunteering or creating specific programs for educational programs.
