Adam Knight Curator of Aranda Aboriginal Art has been involved with Aboriginal people since childhood and active Aboriginal Art dealer since the early 1990.s. During that time it has been a privilege for our staff to be able to build personal relationships with leading and emerging Aboriginal Artists and to develop at least some understanding of the expression of their culture through their extraordinary artwork. Our first Gallery was opened in regional Victoria in 1995 by the Treasurer and Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, The Honourable Ralph Willis, and we were proud to have in attendance at that opening such luminaries as (the late) Rover Thomas and Queenie McKenzie. Our friendship with perhaps the most noted artist of his era, Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, extended over many years and continues with his children and grandchildren today. ARANDA ABORIGINAL ART represents the finest contemporary pieces with the unique ability to communicate the historical and cultural importance of each indigenous piece.
