My eye is attracted to color and form. Originally, I focused on nature scenes, especially when I could find intense color in sunrises and sunsets, fields of flowers, or autumn leaves. I am also intrigued by repeating patterns, and being able to distill an image to its simplest graphic elements. Recently I have been absorbed by the challenge of portraying people. I want to extend my study of form and color to merge with my interest in portraits to develop a unique way to capture a subject’s personality in an image formed in a fraction of a second. About Us
Chris and Mel are both health care professionals that call Raleigh, NC "home." Home is a relative term because when we're not working, we usually are traveling. Since 2007, we have put over 75,000 miles on our cars traveling around the United States and enjoying the great outdoors. We enjoy wildlife observation, hiking, backpacking, winter sports (snow skiing, snowshoeing), and paddling. On rare occasions, we will splurge and spend a night or two in a luxury hotel and have a night on the town.
