Transparency and Accountability Network
The Transparency and Accountability Network is a coalition of 24 multi-sectoral organizations concerned primarily in anti-corruption and good governance in the Philippines. It emerged in 2000 due to lack of transparency and accountability in governance. The idea of a network gradually evolved as various non-government organizations frequently met in anti-corruption forums and activities. As a coalition, TAN envisions a Philippines characterized by transparent, accountable, and efficient public institutions and an informed citizenry intolerant of corruption. Towards this end, TAN seeks to contribute significantly to the reduction of corruption in the country by catalyzing and advancing a multi-sectoral transparency and accountability strategy founded on the prevention and prosecution of corruption, and the promotion of a corruption-intolerant culture.
