What I love most about life is that there is always something to learn. And for me, that is what my photography is all about. In the moment observations of people, places and nature become tales told as my images weave a pattern within my personal life experience as textile artist, gardener and beekeeper. Texture and a sense of movement are present in many of my photographs and I owe that point of view to the many years I’ve given to working with yarn and fibers and the hours spent in the garden with the honeybees.
I am currently a student in the Rhode Island School of Design’s continuing education Digital Photography Certificate Course. Other photography workshops I have participated in are: Next Step: The Artist’s Journey-2010 w/Craig Tanner & Marti Jeffers; Wildflower Photography w/Kathleen Clemons at The Adirondack Institute of Photography (June, 2009) and Lenses on the Land at Shelburne Farms, VT w/Marshall Webb (Oct, 2008).
