If We Knew Their Stories Diversity Training DVD
In this 20 minute documentary, doctors in three North American cities give us a glimpse into the lives of their refugee patients. The stories told here by the doctors, and by the refugees themselves, shed new light on the immigrant experience. These are stories of resilience in the face of great obstacles such as war, persecution and long, harrowing journeys.
This is the first film created as part of the Medicine Box Project, a series of documentaries focusing on refugees and their experiences with the American health care system. The film is produced by Free Country Media and directed by Chris Newberry.
