A new way to group and manage complementary businesses The Group Captive concept Oddly enough, the Group Captive has its roots in the insurance industry. For decades, companies have come together to form these companies as a means of building significant value, all the while creating a climate of greater safety and risk management for their people. It is this symbiosis of creating savings and doing what’s right that gave birth to Gray and Blue -- we strive to do well by doing good. Rather than only consolidate insurance and risk management, our Group Captives exist as a means of consolidating non-core business functions into a jointly owned company. This allows the members to serve as operating companies of a homogenous group and focus in on their manufacturing, distribution, and sales. Gray and Blue forms and manages these groups on behalf of the owners. The leaders of Gray and Blue A little about the leaders of Gray and Blue… The principal management team of Gray and Blue, LLC, consists of service academy graduates and veterans: in fact, our company is named for the primary colors of the United States Military and Naval Academies at West Point and Annapolis, whose principles of honor and service we hold especially dear.
