'The Beach of Love'. Liku'alofa Beach Resort, Our Tongan Resort sits along stretch of white sandy beach on the west coast of Tongatapu. Offers a unique Tongan-styled experience, luxurious accommodation on an island setting, Restaurant and bar service with exceptional ocean view where whales love to entertain our guests. Off the beach is ideal for surfing, snorkeling or just laze around in the sun. Our 17 Tongan styled cottages are spread-out in our lovely tropical gardens on 14 acres of land, to ensure privacy. They are spacious and brand new (built August '08), with high beamed ceilings and modern tiled bathrooms. Each accommodates 2 persons, with a rollaway bed option for a 3rd guest. There are individual as well as duplex cottages, the latter having an inter-connecting door making them ideal as family holiday units. Facilities at Liku'Alofa include a main restaurant with Tongan entertainment twice weekly, plus the Treetop Bar that serves drinks and meals also. A great spot overlooking the beach to fantastic sunsets. We try to be an Eco-friendly resort by using rainwater (which is drinkable) and solar tanks for hot running water. Feel closer to the ocean than other local resorts. Most of our accommodation provides ocean views, our bar and restaurant sits on the water’s edge where you can try our “Tongan-Wrapped-Fish” while enjoying the golden sunset disappearing on the horizon. Our pool and sun lounge area are within the lagoon.
