In 1990 at the age of 21, Christian Francis Roth was heralded by the fashion industry as 7th Avenues latest prodigy. His clothes featured whimsical pop art references evident in the now classic Rothola crayon dress and trompe loeil Breakfast Suit. Roths original designs won him the coveted CFDA Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent and placed many of his designs on exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute. Taking its inspiration from the 1970s gang flick The Warriors, Spring 2009 celebrated New York Citys diverse cliques, resulting in wonderfully original graffiti print dresses, custom patchwork schoolgirl blazers and twisted rugby shirts. Fall 2010s celestial Heavenly Creatures collection gives birth to colorful galaxy print tops and graphic ribbon trimmed dresses inspired by the Rings of Saturn.
