T9N was formed by two seasoned translators working in the field since the early 90s. Being in the field for so long and attending conferences and workshops allowed us to find the finest linguistic resources available. During this ime, we have been approached by a series of clients looking for help in localizing translators for different languages or to manage a team of translators for different projects. As the need to manage teams of translators to deal with large projects in one language or to translate into a multitude of languages simultaneously has increased, we have decided to set up our own company to take care of these kinds of projects. Our resources at T9N are dedicated to finding the best B2B localization and translation solutions for your company. Our business background allow us to understand the needs of businesses, including the need of competitive prices, timely delivery, focus on solutions, short time-to-market cycle, and, of course, quality. We provide business-to-business multilingual services. We are capable of translating corporate documents to one or to many languages simultaneously. For example, your company is launching a tractor in Europe and you need its Operator Manual translated into 12 languages at once. We can handle it. Additionally, you may be in need of desktop publishing services to assure all documents are similarly formatted. We can handle that as well. To assure quality, our services include: Translation—rendering of a written text into another language Editing—checking of the translated text, comparing it with the original text (better if done by a second translator). In specific cases, it is necessary to perform a Technical Editing, that is, an editing made by somebody working or with vast knowledge of in the field. Proofing—final reading of the edited text, for comprehension, errors, etc. Desktop Publishing (DTP)—final preparation of the work to be published in paper, in the Internet, or other media. Final Proofing—checking of the material before publishing it, to be sure the results are satisfactory. The above services can be contracted separately or together, nevertheless, we strongly recommend to contract at least the first two together. 1. What T9N stands for? T9N stands for translation. There are nine letters between the T and the N. For more information about acronyms as T9N, L10N, G11N, I18N, and other industry acronyms see LISA's website. 2. How do you assure quality? We only work with translators that meet our criteria: full-time professionals, years of experience, industry recognized credentials, etc. Additionaly, every job is handled by at least to professionals: one translator and one editor. 3. What if the translation is not good enough? Minor errors are corrected without cost (e.g.: spelling mistakes). If a major question about quality of any of the languages arises, translation of the language in question will be sent to a CTTIC Certified or ATA Accredited translator for evaluation (from a list of 3 professionals). If quality of the whole translation of the language in question is deemed below professional level, T9N pays the evaluator and refunds payment made for that specific language.
