Buffalo Run Tipi Village
The Buffalo Run Tipi Village (BRTV) is an entity of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe CRST. The mission of the BRTV is to re-establish the spiritual and cultural connection that the Lakota people once had with the Buffalo Nation. Buffalo Run Tipi Village will be comprised of three primary components: a Tipi village, Cultural Camp, and eventually a big game hunting program. The purpose of the Buffalo Run Tipi Village is to promote economic development by capitalizing on tourism. In addition, Buffalo Run Tipi Village seeks to begin to address the socio-ecomonic problems of the reservation by reconnecting Lakota People to their rich heritage and culture.
