The Official Klownhole Website
Klownhole thinks that some songs are too important to let fall into the banal torpor of single versions. We attempt to breath life into the songs we think should stand the test of time, and we find new inspiration in playing songs written by the composers of our time who are the equivalents of Jerome Kern or Duke Ellington.
Can you imagine, for a moment, how poor the world would be if people stopped playing songs like the Mentor's 'Secretary Hump'? El Duce won't be singing it again (except in Heaven), and I for one recoil in horror at the idea that only Scorpion's version of 'Rock You Like a Hurricane' was being played.
What it really gets down to is a basic respect for the past - Klownhole cares about the past, and won't just let it slip away. Good songs are good songs, and if it saves us the trouble of writing our own material to express ourselves, that's just peachy too.
That's what I think.
