Megan Karlen : Paintings
Megan Karlen is a artist based in New York City. In the Road's Edge, a recent selection of paintings, Karlen thinks about how when youre riding in your car, or on a bike or walking, most people just look at the road ahead. But when you to the side you find treasures: Stones, shells, turtles crossing, beautiful flowers, trees, landscapes and road stands. You stop and breathe in the scenery. You buy a pint of strawberries and leave money in the box. You are on the roads edge living a more thoughtful life. Megan Karlen has had solo shows of her artwork at Beauregard Fine Art in Rumson New Jersey, Ansonia Windows in Greenwich Village, Monmouth NJ Art Alliance in Red Bank NJ, 55 Mercer Gallery as well as Brunettas in NYC.
