Mind Media and the Message Festival - Home
Breaking with traditon, Send us your perspective, From its humble beginnings, to its nation-wide
presence, the Mind, Media and the Message festival has been about one thing: giving artistic youth
an opportunity to receive the recognition that they deserve. M3F is dedicated to the promotion
of new media artworks being created by secondary school students. So far, our festival has
been a success greater than anybody could have imagined.
Our goals are as follows: to connect CanadaÕs artistic youth with the new media industry,
to give students the chance to display their new media artworks and to observe the works of their peers,
to help students become aware of post-secondary institutions dedicated to new media training.
These goals are being pursued by a team of students attending Marshall McLuhan C.S.S.
who share a passion for new media arts. M3F has, is, and always will be a festival for
and by youth. It is this aspect of the festival that makes us so unique. With the help of
teacher advisors and members of the new media community, we undergo our mission to complete
our goals with an insight and passion that only high school students could posses.
We accomplish these tasks through a national festival that judges and showcases new media artworks
from high school students. As it now stands, we have made contact with some of the biggest names
in the technology, media, and new media industries. With these allies, our dedicated team of students
and teachers is well on its way to reaching these goals.
We are slowly changing the Canadian art scene and giving our youth chances they never had before.
M3F is growing and developing at an unbelievable rate. Now is the time to become involved and
play your part in the new media revolution.
