Helping Hand House | Ending Family Homelessness in Tacoma, Puyallup & Pierce County, WA
Helping Hand House was established in 1984 under the leadership of a local Puyallup woman who had been challenged by her pastor to make a difference in the community. The organization started with only one home, but over time has grown to become the leading provider of emergency and transitional housing in Eastern Pierce County, Washington. Today, Helping Hand House owns or leases 41 single family housing units located throughout the communities of Eatonville, Orting, Bonney Lake, Buckley, Milton, Sumner, and Puyallup. The mission of Helping Hand House is to ‘prevent and end family homelessness in Pierce County’.
