Welcome to Silver Halide Photos! What is a Silver Halide you ask? Silver Halides are the light-sensitive chemicals used in photographic film and paper. My photography originally started using vintage cameras. These were film based, usually 35mm or 120/620mm formats. The portal you see in front of you is my portfolio of digital work. My goals surrounding my photography is to continue what I did with my vintage photography. Although I believe that my composition while taking exposures has leaned more towards older styles, such as pin-up and noir...I am moving into studio portraits and architecture as well. My website, www.silverhalidephotos.com shows my fascination with both.
My goals also encompass my aspiration to move into the studio to do more portraits. I enjoy interacting with my subject to convey not only what the intended shot brings, but the emotion and feeling behind the subject's passion.
