FUNKTIONAL FILMS
Funktional Films is a full-service film and video production company specializing in documentary and independent projects. It was founded in 2002 by Nick Francis.
Nick received his BA in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara, with an emphasis in screenwriting and project development, before moving to San Francisco in 1998. Working within the burgeoning Bay Area technology boom of the late 90s, he honed his skills in commercial and corporate production as a camera operator and editor, until eventually branching out as an independent producer in 2001. Since then Nick has used his technical and creative talents to help develop a wide array of projects for film, video and television.
The mission of Funktional Films is to produce imaginative visual media, while maintaining a strong adherence to compelling stories. With a wealth of experience and a network of extremely talented like-minded professional filmmakers, artists and musicians, Funktional Films is well equipped to bring out the best at every level of production.
