TRIPS (Tennessee Research in Paranormal Studies) is a volunteer group of professional individuals who give their time and talents in the pursuit of debunking and verifying paranormal activity.
We come from different backgrounds, with different talents and skills, but we all maintain the philosophy that when confronted with purported paranormal activity, we must do our best to debunk it (find out natural causes for the phenomena). If we are diligent in that, then whatever remains is worthy of consideration as true paranormal evidence.
We are available to investigate homes, businesses, and other properties in the Middle Tennessee area. That is not to say that we do not travel. In spring of 2009, members of TRIPS were able to travel to Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, KY, to investigate. With proper notification, we can arrange weeknight or weekend investigations. We use equipment such as digital audio and visual recorders, EMF detectors, IR cameras, and still-photography, and are constantly looking to expand our cache of equipment resources.
We are also in the process of collecting information/stories of paranormal activity in the Middle Tennessee area. If you have anything you wish to share, please email any of the TRIPS members with the basics, and we will get back with you by telephone, email, or personal visit.
