www.AidEffectiveness.org aims to support policy makers and practitioners working to boost the effectiveness of aid and its contribution to development in their countries. The 2005 Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and the 2008 Accra Agenda for Action set out to accomplish a major shift in the way development assistance is provided. Their core principles – ownership, alignment, harmonisation, managing for results and mutual accountability – add up to a radical change for both donors and partner countries.
This web portal supports country level practitioners that are trying to apply this international principles of aid effectiveness – to localize them so they fit their country context, and underpin efforts to move from principles to action.
