The Energy Economist
This project started in July 2009 when I decided to provide public service education in energy. I am frequently asked good basic questions about energy. I prepared a presentation and started speaking to civic organizations. It was so well received I decided to make it more widely available. I seek to provide a reliable source of clear, understandable yet accurate information about a broad range of energy issues, grounded in economics (isn’t everything?). I deal with energy technology, public policy, business and their impacts. The goal is to de-mystify the issues. I believe an informed citizen is an effective citizen and I hope to make a positive contribution. Questions are most welcome. I will address them if I can and will refer those I can’t to an SME. I hope a healthy, civil debate will ensue. While I seek to keep the content factual, opinions will be offered and disclosed as such. Those who differ are encouraged to weigh in, just be respectful of the other person.
