A blog of free associations, tantalizing distractions and explorations into the expression of meaning in various media. I draw on a background in fashion design, my work as a textile designer and a continuing and constant practice of visual dialogue. DRAWN TOGETHER is a celebration of the power of artistic relationships and artistic wealth in Fremantle, Western Australia. This interactive and collaborative event explores the human body through the universal language of drawing. Spearheaded by 2010 Fremantle Festival artist, Ian de Souza, 70 visual artists are intimately involved with the project; exhibiting work, delivering drawing workshops to the public and/or taking up short-term residencies in local cafes. This seminal drawing extravaganza draws Fremantle artists, residents and visitors together to explore, collaborate, appreciate and celebrate.
