Diversity Infusion Services
Diversity Infusion Services (DIS) provides online consultation and assistance to psychology and counseling instructors for the purpose of integrating multicultural information throughout their work. We are a team of faculty and students from the Psychology Department at California State University, Sacramento. We hope that our efforts at DIS will contribute to the larger goal of creating educational and mental health systems that are inclusive and culturally competent.

Define Diversity
There are many things that might come to mind when the word diversity is introduced into the conversation. It can be easy to define diversity, but there are a number of topics it covers. Diversity creeps into most of the things that we do or observe around us. This is plainly because everything cannot be the same and there has to be some difference, even if we talk about things such as nature or human beings. Diversity is basically an assortment of different things even if they are of the same in kind. People are sometimes identified depending on their various cultures. So, to define diversity in this sense would be to acknowledge that there are different cultures around the world, and also among the many countries.
