Time Guitars was a Vermont company founded by Alan Stack in 1973. Mr. Stack is the gifted luthier & businessman that created the Time brand. These guitars were a main-stay in the New England music scene during the 70s and 80's. At it's peak the guitars were endorsed by such artists as Richard Thompson, Trey Anastasio of Phish, and Johnny Winter. Unfortunately, the company folded before it reached it's critical mass in 1987. The 'Barn' factory in Vermont was destroyed in a fire in 1992. The Time Guitars forum was created by Christopher Clark in 2006. Although the company stopped production in 87, the interest in the marque has increased in recent years. Due to this rapid rise and sudden disappearance, the company has earned a cult following among its' admirers. Mr. Clark is uniquely qualified to run this site, as he was the former company General Manager & Designer. Mr. Clark has developed this site into a part blog/ part forum format. Users post about their guitars and Mr. Clark responds with insights about their guitar and its' place in the Time Guitar history.
