DUI 2011 - Distributed User Interfaces - CHI 2011 Workshop
Distributed User Interfaces (DUIs) are an emerging field of research and development in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). The DUIs have brought drastic changes that affected the way interactive systems are conceived. DUIs have surpassed the fact that user interfaces are manipulated by a single end user on the same computing platform in the same environment. Conversely to existing user interfaces, DUIs enable end users to distribute any user interface element, from the largest one to the smallest one, across different computing platforms and physical environments. This workshop invites authors to submit contributions discussing concepts, applications, techniques or environments where DUIs play a central role by improving the interaction experience.
