Kari Campano launched her marketing career as a publicist and special events coordinator in 1984 with a small public relations firm in California. In 1988, she gathered experience in the advertising industry working in account management at a Young and Rubicam company for clients including Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Westin Hotels and Resorts, and Suzuki Motorcycles. In 1991, Kari continued her relationship with KFC as an event planner and designer through her own company Grand Events with partners John and Carol Saunders. In addition to KFC, Grand Events had many other corporate and private party clients. Today, Grand Events Los Angeles is one of the leading event planning and design firms in Southern California. Between 1982 and 1994, Kari attended college on a part time basis and obtained her Associate of Arts degree from Los Angeles Valley College as well as her Bachelor of Arts degree with a Special Major in Event Planning and Marketing from California State University, Northridge.
