Camels Hump Photography - Lou Borie
Thanks for stopping by my site!
I’ve been taking photographs of the natural world since I was inspired by the striking landscapes of the west and southwest at an early age. My experience as a writer and photographer has taken me to natural areas and wild places where I try to capture the beauty and peace for others to enjoy. I have also been involved for many years as a professional and volunteer land conservationist, working to protect unique natural areas and open spaces in New England and the Midwest for future generations to enjoy.
I like to hike, paddle, or bike whenever I get the chance. Since working for two summers as a ranger on Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak, the words of John Muir have resonated with me: “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings,” he said. “Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.”
I live and work in Vermont, where intimate landscapes and natural beauty are at every turn. I hope you enjoy some of my work and that it inspires you too. If you have questions or just want to share your thoughts, please email me.
