He is the foremost disciple of Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj who in turn was the foremost disciple of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur, the illustrious founder of the ‘Sri Gaudiya Math’ with 64 branches throughout India. Srila Sridhar Maharaj was also the closest senior associate of Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad, the founder of the world-wide International Society of Krishna Consciousness

In the year 2000, ISKCON's Governing Body Commission released the following statements :-
618 [Statement] It is resolved that 1) There is no evidence at this time to support the allegations of poisoning of Srila Prabhupada.This conclusion is based on two independent reports commissioned by the GBC Body.
2) The GBC body endorses the book, "Not that I am Poisoned," as the most detailed and comprehensive exposition of these allegations to date, and it recommends the book strongly to devotees who may have been affected by or who are interested in this issue. (unquote).
The Bhaktivedanta Investigation Force (BIF) was formed as a direct result of the above statements. It is our mission to present the truth, and in so doing expose the book : "Not That I am Poisoned" (NTIP) for what it is: a hoax, engineered by the suspects themselves.
