Formed under the midnight sun in Lofoten, Norway in 2006, the Engegård Quartet is one of the most sought after chamber music ensembles in Scandinavia and performs regularly throughout Europe. They have made two internationally acclaimed recordings on the 2L label of Haydn, Beethoven, Grieg,Bartok, Solberg and Norheim. The members of the Engegård Quartet are Arvid Engegård and Atle Sponberg on violin, Juliet Jopling on viola and Adrian Brendel on cello.

Avi Schnfeld is an internationally renowned pianist, composer and teacher. He was born in Poland, where he gave his first concerts, and then studied in Israel with Ilona Vincze, a former disciple of Bartk. Having won several national and international competitions (including the Leo Kestenberg prize and one with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra), Schnfeld made his dbut with the Israeli Radio and Television Orchestra before embarking on a concert career that was to take him round the world, embracing also his gifts as composer and teacher.
