CC.Marimbo - Read William Wordsworth's revolution in language as it's happening outside the walls of academe on the pages CC. Marimbo makes into books that are enjoyed around the world. CC. Marimbo was founded in 1996 by Peggy Golden and Randy Fingland to encourage attention for new and underpublished poets, and to publish poetry in an accessible and artistic format. Currently, CC. Marimbo has 56 titles listed in Dustbooks' The Small Press Record of Books in Print. The majority of the volumes are 40 pages, in a 4 1/4 x 5 1/4, 5 1/4 x 8, or 8 1/2 x 11 trim size, usually hand-sewn, always with an eye to the art of bookmaking on a shoestring budget. Print-runs range from 26-250 copies (by demand a few are near the 1000 count). Almost half of our titles are translations, from French, Greek, Haitian-Creole, Italian, Sardo, Swedish and Yiddish authors, pre-eminent in their countries, but with a limited or no American audience.About 5% of our projects are from unsolicited manuscripts, although be warned we are scheduled well into 2012.
CC.Marimbo is a publisher of international poetry books.
