Automatic Pens
Automatic Pens have been handmade in England for over 100 years, the hand-finished, smooth writing tip is unique: the pen can write and flow in any direction. The pen produces both very thin lines with contrasting thick lines. Easy to use for right and left-handed users, from young children to professionals-writing calligraphy, drawing illustrations, and making decorative creative mark designs. The Automatic Pens use non- waterproof ink (soluble), designers' gouache, artists' watercolours and poster colours.
One-line writing makes a single solid stroke for writing, mark-making and drawing. Two-line writing is used to make decorative double-line letters and marks.
Each pen is complete with nib mounted on a non-staining pen handle.
The pens are ideal for the elderly, disabled, and school children. The children enjoy writing with these pens because they give variable thicknesses for each stroke. Even if the hand trembles or is shaky, the pens write and will flow to write and for drawing. As long as the hand can hold the penholder and there is some movement in the hand or arm, the pens will work. The pens can comfortably be held in the mouth or positioned in a holder.
