KinectVision
KinectVision is a Kinect for Xbox 360 connected to an Asus Eee PC 900 running Ubuntu 10.10 and OpenKinect, feeding depth sensor data over HTTP to a VPS residing in France. Image manipulation is done using various Netpbm tools and data transfers with cURL. The actual capturing of frames is done by a very small program written in C and the whole image capturing, massaging and uploading cycle is driven by a little shell script. Client side is built on the very solid foundation of HTML5 Boilerplate, and of course jQuery. (PHP is ubiquitous.) What you see is an average of depth sensor data with new frames mixed in with a weight of 0.035. Image is updated every few seconds or so.
