Nanokapsel
BioLog GmbH has developed a patented technology for the production of nanoparticles from modified oligomers, polysaccharides and polyglucans. With a special nanoparticle reactor BioLog is able to offer dry nanoparticles and microparticles in sizes from 40nm up to 500 µm as well as nanocoatings and -capsules. Because these particles are bodycompatible and degradable carriers they are particularly suitable as drug-delivery-systems for hormones, vitamins, antibiotics and anaesthetica. This system enables a significant reduction of dosages, the drug and/or material is transferred with a higher speed than with conventional delivery systems.
Technical and agricultural applications for such particles/coatings are:
- nano surface coatings for influencing the gas permeability for O2 and CO2, aromatic sealing, antibacterial finishing of tissues
- nanocoatings for seeds and seedlings
- encapsulation of vitamins or essential oils as feed additives
