We occasionally feature special events, such as our Craft Ale Festival (twice a year), our Wine Festival, our Crawfish Festival (April), and Mardi Gras Celebration (the Saturday before Mardi Gras). Cajun Café on the Bayou was established in 1996 by Rebecca’s father, Joe Thibodaux of Thibodaux, Louisiana. When Joe started this restaurant, he chose his favorite recipes from friends and family in the Thibodaux area. Many family arguments ensued over Joe’s personal choices, but Joe won out and his collection of favorite recipes are still being served at Cajun Café on the Bayou 14 years later. Cajun Café on the Bayou has been owned by Rebecca and Paul Unwin since May 1, 2003. Paul is originally from Bristol, England.
