The Independent Sealing Distributors (ISD) is a not-for-profit trade association which was formed in 1992 by concerned industry leaders interested in creating a forum where distributors and manufacturers could interact and share information affecting the sealing and gasket industry. It's mission: To enhance the success of independent sealing distributors through information, education and interaction. In order to accomplish this mission, ISD provides members with a wide spectrum of services, benefits and information, enabling users to stay abreast of technical, management, regulatory, and business changes within the industry. ISD is committed to success--yours! ISD's member benefits and services are designed to improve the professionalism, success and profitability of participating companies and individuals.ISD is composed of both distributor and associate (manufacturer) member companies. Distributors of mechanical and hydraulic seals, packing and gaskets, seal repair people, gasket cutters, etc. work side by side with manufacturers of fluid sealing products. Members range from the largest distributors and manufacturers in the industry to companies with less than 10 employees. This diversity is one of ISD's strengths
