Arriving Personnel 

Newcomers & Re-entry Orientation
The installation-wide newcomers & re-entry orientation is provided to soldiers who PCS to Fort Campbell from both stateside and overseas assignments. The orientation provides information on the installation, the local community, and on coping with readjustment upon returning to the States. Briefings are held each Thursday at 10:40, at the 21st Replacement Detachment located at 6919 Desert Storm. Spouses are encouraged to attend.

Eagle Family Welcome Tour
The �Eagle Family Welcome� is held every Tuesday at the Turner Guest House from 0800-1000, to welcome soldiers and their families to Fort Campbell. An informal briefing is conducted to provide important information to newly arrived families. Refreshments are provided.

ACS Community Tour
Army Community Service offers a Community Tour to introduce newcomers to Fort Campbell and the local community. The bus tour departs from the Turner Guest House on the first Tuesday of each month from 1000-1130. For more information or to sign-up, call Army Community Service Relocation Readiness Program at 798-6313.

Lending Closet
The Lending Closet lends basic household items such as dishes, pots & pans, irons, ironing boards, toasters, coffee pots, table & chairs, car seats, and highchairs to those individuals transitioning to and from Fort Campbell. When departing Fort Campbell, individuals must return signed out items prior to clearing ACS. Items cannot be issued to those individuals who have already cleared ACS. All items must be returned clean or they will not be accepted for return. Loans are for 30 days. However, extensions are given for up to 60 days. A valid ID card and orders are required to check items out of the Lending Closet.

The Relocation Office does not send out welcome packets to incoming personnel. Fort Campbell information can be accessed at (www.dmdc.osd.mil/sites ) and www.campbell.army.mil . Clarksville and Hopkinsville Chambers of Commerce will send out welcome newcomer information on the local community. Please call 270-798-6313, to request a welcome packet from either Chamber of Commerce. Foreign Born Spouse Orientation
The orientation provides foreign-born spouses with general information on English as a Second Language; employment resources; acquiring a driver�s license, social security card, or resident alien card (green card); and, procedures to become a U.S. citizen. The orientation is held on the last Friday of each month.

International Spouse Support Group 
Recognizing the many difficulties foreign-born spouses encounter in adapting and thriving in American society, this group provides a forum where they may gather to discuss personal concerns and frustrations, while sharing ideas and methods to help them cope and overcome specific problems. The International Spouse Support Group is a multicultural, multi-ethnic group. The group provides support to foreign-born spouses in the Fort Campbell area. The main goal of the group is to bring together foreign-born spouses for an informal gathering, to share information such as learning English as a Second Language, acquiring American Citizenship, obtaining a resident alien card and/or driver�s license, networking, continuing education, finding a job, raising bilingual children, and issues pertaining to cultural adaptation. The countries of Japan, Korea, Germany, Panama, Philippines, Mexico, Africa, France, New Zealand, and Norway are represented. The group has participated in organized picnics, a 4th of July barbecue, Concerts in the Park, baby showers, cooking classes, sewing classes, practicing
